SUPER TUSCANS -The Tignanello is one of those great wines that made the history of Italian oenology, becoming a legend, Tignanello is one of the great red wines of Marchesi Antinori, born in the 1970s.
      -
TIGNANELLO WINE was born from the vineyards of the estate, where the sixteenth-century patronal villa is located, situated between the valleys of Greve and Pesa, in the heart of Chianti Classico, exactly between the small villages of Montefiridolfi and Santa Maria 30 kilometers south of Florence. Thus was born the first Sangiovese to be aged in barriques, as well as the first red wine blended with cabernet franc and cabernet sauvignon.

Tignanello Antinori is an iconic and symbolic expression of the Italian wine world, with a unique and unparalleled character. It is a riot of sensations and its enchanting and intense ruby red presents it as the star. Aromas of tobacco and red fruits, balsamic and leather notes juxtaposed with elegant hints of vanilla and red roses. Tignanello has been a spokesman for Tuscan winemaking modernity, produced only in the best vintages and able to base its fame on great longevity for the great tastings of tomorrow. Indeed, the Antinori Family has been dedicated to wine production for more than six hundred years: since Giovanni di Piero Antinori joined the Arte Fiorentina dei Vinattieri in 1385. Throughout its long history, spanning 26 generations, the Antinori family has always managed this business directly, making innovative and sometimes courageous choices, and always maintaining an unwavering respect for tradition and territory. Today the company is directed by Marchese Piero Antinori, with the support of his three daughters Albiera, Allegra and Alessia, all of whom are personally involved in the company's activities. A path of tradition, passion and intuition: driving qualities that have led Marchesi Antinori to establish itself as one of Italy's leading wine producers. The estates in Tuscany and Umbria, the family's historical heritage, have been joined over time by investments in other areas suited for the production of quality wines, both in Italy and abroad. Places where a path of valorization of new "terroirs" with high viticultural potential has been undertaken, thanks to the commitment of the Antinori family, which already in the mid-1980s took charge of what was the oenological renaissance of the Bel Paese. The "Solaia," then the "Tignanello," and again the Chianti Classico Gran Selezione "Badia a Passignano," and to follow all the other labels: wines, those born from the name "Antinori," which are distinguished by a technically impeccable and qualitatively excellent production, and which have been synonymous for centuries with the most prestigious oenology of ITALY.
