Terlaner I Grande Cuvée is the name of Cantina Terlano's white flagship.

In recent years, the winery has made a name for itself worldwide with its long-lived, mineral white wines. Even after years, the wines present themselves in top freshness and with great complexity. With this long white wine history, there is now, since vintage 2011, a wine in which the essence of Terlan is expressed in an even more focused way. In Terlaner I Grande Cuvée, the grape varieties Pinot Blanc, Chardonnay and Sauvignon from the Winkl, Kreuth and Vorberg vineyards come together to create a masterpiece which, due to its limited and exclusive nature, will only be available from hand-picked retailers and in selected top restaurants. Brilliant straw yellow. Rich and complex on the nose with aromas of citrus fruits, white pepper and herbs as well as a  delicate smoky note. Remarkable structure and refined texture that give it finesse, elegance and a distinctive character. The exceptionally long and salty finish is endlessly memorable as an expression of a mineral terroir that is unique in the world. "Bright fine straw yellow. Intense nose with notes of saffron and mustard seeds, plus lots of mirabelle plums. Lots of tension on the palate, fine fresh pineapple fruit, some white flowers, vibrant, lots of fruit melting, paired with mineral components that give depth, resonates very long" (Falstaff). The 2018 Alto Adige Terlaner Grand Cuvée Primo shows ripeness, but the fruit is plush, rich and beautiful. It's an intricate portrait of these three grapes, with brushes of grapefruit and Indian jasmine, or Turkish soap you might buy at an Istanbul bazaar. There is a very citrusy side to the wine with taht grapefruit note and the perfumed skin of the citron fruit they call "cedro" in Italian. All in all, this wine is super rich with generous fruit weight and concentration. Cantina Terlano does its best work in terms of texture, mouthfeel and richness, and this release of 3,330 bottles is their masterpiece" (Robert Parker).
