Domaine Gros Frère & Sœur is a wine estate of Burgundy located at Vosne-Romanée, on the Côte de Nuits.

Domaine Gros Frère & Soeur: the frere et soeur we are talking about are Colette and Gustave, sons of Louis Gros, who in 1963 founded his company in Vosne-Romanée, among the most renowned areas of the Cote de Beaune, in Burgundy. In 1984 Gustave suddenly dies and Bernard takes his place, making changes to the Domaine such as the expansion of the vineyards or the replacement of weaker plants, with new clones of higher quality. Bernard has also decided to give the company a youthful imprint, both in the vineyard and in the cellar where he prefers short macerations and long refinements in first passage barrels. The Domaine is made up of 20 hectares including 4 plots of Grands Crus (Richebourg, Echezeaux, Grands-Echezeaux and Clos-de-Vougeot), approximately one hectare of Vosne-Romanée Premier Cru and just over 3 hectares of Vosne-Romanée village

The Richebourg Grand Cru is made from Pinot Noir grapes, the king of the Burgundian red berry. The soils, the exposure, the sub-area particularly suited to this variety, the hand of the producer, the right refinement: everything contributes to defining the profile of the great ones, of those bottled nectars that have the extraordinary gift of being remembered in a charm without time. A brilliant dark ruby colour, carmine with age. The nose weaves a canvas of spices, red fruit and black berries, rose petals and an earthy undergrowth background. The palate bewitches with a distinct - and distinctive! - finesse, where the tannic perception is velvety and soft, perfectly integrated with the body. The almost rocky, calcareous minerality emerges as an additional element of class and persistently supplies the gustatory tone of a best seller.
